THE ACADEMY

The Academy

A Christ-centered school community in Chester, forming Legacy Builders through academic excellence, character development, and faithful service.

Mission

Nurturing the whole child.

The Herb Lusk Christian Leadership Academy exists to nurture the whole child through Christ-centered education, academic excellence, intentional character development, and meaningful partnerships with families and the community. Inspired by the life and legacy of Reverend Dr. Herbert H. Lusk, II, we cultivate students who are Faith-Filled, Courageous, Servant-Hearted, Purpose-Driven, and Resilient, equipping them to discover their God-given potential, serve others with compassion, and become Legacy Builders who leave things better than they found them.

Vision

A generation that believes.

We envision a generation of young leaders who believe that with God, no obstacle is insurmountable and every challenge is an opportunity to grow. Rooted in faith and guided by purpose, our students will understand that where they begin does not determine where they can go, that God can use what they already have to make a difference, and that every act of love, service, generosity, prayer, and faith has the power to transform lives.

Inspired by Reverend Dr. Herbert H. Lusk, II's enduring conviction to "start where you are, use what you have, and do all you can," our graduates will courageously pursue excellence, strengthen their communities, create opportunities for others, and faithfully live out God's purpose wherever He leads them.

Our foundation

Start where you are. Use what you have. Do all you can.

The culture of the Herb Lusk Christian Leadership Academy is rooted in God's Word and inspired by the life and example of Reverend Dr. Herbert H. Lusk, II.

Students are encouraged to recognize that God has uniquely gifted each of them with talents, abilities, and opportunities to serve others. They learn that faith is demonstrated through action, that leadership begins with service, and that no act of kindness or obedience is too small to make a difference.

The values that shaped Pastor Lusk's life were first instilled by his father, who gave him a lifelong standard for Christian living that he, in turn, shared with others:

  • Never let anyone beat you loving.
  • Never let anyone beat you serving.
  • Never let anyone beat you giving.
  • Never let anyone beat you praying.
  • Never let anyone beat you believing.

These principles remind our students that true leadership is measured not by position or recognition, but by the way we love God, love people, and faithfully use our gifts to build stronger communities and advance God's Kingdom.
